Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Multiplayer Beta Announced for PS4

Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the sequel to last-years multi-format Dragon Ball Z fighting game, will receive a multiplayer beta on the PS4 before it’s general release later next month.

Initally revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2016 those who pre-order Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for the PS4 digitally from the Playstation Network Store will receive access to the Closed Beta that takes place between the 8th and 10th October 2016. Meanwhile those who did not pre-order from the PSN store will be able to take part in the Open Beta that takes place a week later between  the 14th and 17th October 2016.

Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 will have two phases of Beta:

  • A closed beta of 8 to 10 October
  • An open beta from 14 to 17 october

How to access the Closed Beta? 

All players who pre-ordered Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 digital PlayStation Store will have access to closed and open betas.

Access codes will also be distributed in different ways, so stay tuned!

How to access the open beta?

All on PlayStation 4 players can participate in the Open Beta: it will take you just a PSN account!

When will open the Betas? 

The Closed Beta will open October 8 at 10 am and will close on October 10 at 10am. The Beta will be downloadable one day in advance, on 7 october from 10am.

The closed beta will open on October 14 at 10 am and will close on October 17 at 10am. The Beta will be downloadable one day in advance, on 13 october from 10am.

It’s unclear what exactly will be included within the beta; but it’s expected that playerswill be able to create their own character, take part in various missions and sample some of the new features that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has to offer.

This Beta is exclusive to the PS4 and those who take part in the beta will receive a ‘gift’ for use in the full game when it launches on the 28th October 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
