Anime Limited continues it’s tradition of bringing bad news to its weekly newswire as the latest post reveals that the Blu-ray version of Assassination Classroom – Season 1 Part 2 and both versions of FREE! -Eternal Summer- have been delayed.

According to blog post the Blu-ray version of Assassination Classroom – Season 1 Part 2 has been delayed due to a replication error; which – from my understanding at least – means that when the authoring studio were trying to create multiple copies from a master an error occured and now the authoring house are working to resolve it. As a result of this error the release date for the Blu-ray version of Assassination Classroom – Season 1 Part 2 has been put back; however at the time of writing a new release date has not been mentioned. It goes without saying that this issue only effects the Blu-ray version and as such the DVD version remains unaffected and will still be released on the 26th September 2016.

In regards to the delay of FREE! -Eternal Summer-, which is being released as a Collectors Edition Blu-ray and Standard DVD; a delay in delivery of stock has resulted in the release date being pushed back to the 10th October 2016. Originally FREE -Eternal Summer- was scheduled for release on the 26th September 2016 so it’s only a small set-back.

Of course some good news can be had; as Anime Limited have today revealed that from today (16th September 2016) until 12pm GMT on 25th September 2016 anime fans can pre-order the Collectors Edition Blu-ray of Eden of the East TV Series for just £29.99 as opposed to its SRP of £59.99. It’s a great saving but it will only appeal to the collectors (or fans of the show) considering that the series has previously been released on Blu-ray by Manga Entertainment.
