It’s the news many Naruto fans expected to hear; but publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment and developers CyberConnect2 have today confirmed that a Boruto themed Expansion Pack will be making it’s way to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 next year.
The expansion pack, which will be entitled Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto, will be released on the 3rd Febaruy 2017 and will see the events of Boruto: Naruto the Movie, played out in a brand new adventure mode. As expected this expansion pack will contain Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha, of which both were previously only available by pre-ordering the game from selective retailers, as well as updated ‘adult’ versions of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Hinata amongst other characters that were vital to the films plot.
In addition to the Boruto movie characters being added to the game, of which all will be playable in both offline and online multiplayer matches, players will also be able to explore a new area of the Hidden Leaf Village as part of the games adventure mode.
Many suspected, inlcuding myself, that a Boruto themed DLC Pack would eventually make it’s way to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and it’s great to see CyberConnect2 continuing the legacy that was teased only in DLC and unlockable form. In any event the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto Expansion Pack will be released on the 3rd February 2017 for the PS4, XB1 and PC.
Hey
Do you think Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will later release an complete edition containing all the DLC packs? Is it possible as other games done it.
It’s possible; I believe in the latest issue of Famitsu it said that (in Japan at least) the game would be re-released as a Complete Edition (featuring all DLC content and the Boruto Expansion) as well as the Expansion Pack being released on it’s own for people who own the game (which is exactly what happened with Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst).
