Makoto Shinkai’s “Your Name” To Be Screened at BFI London Film Festival


A few weeks ago theatrical listings for Makoto Shinkai’s new animated feature Your Name began surfacing on various cinema websites including both Showcase Cinemas and Vue Cinemas; well today the UK anime distributor Anime Limited have confirmed that they will be releasing the film into UK cinemas later this year starting with special screenings at BFI London Film Festival.

Friday 14 October 2016:
6pm – Embankment Garden Cinema

Saturday 15 October 2016:
12pm – Embankment Garden Cinema

Sunday 16 October 2016:
6:15pm – Ritzy Cinema, Screen 2

In addition to the films receiving a cinematic showing at the BFI Film Festival in London Your Name will also be apart of the competition; making it the first time that a Japanese animated film has been part of the event.
