Gundam Reconguista in G To Be Released as a Complete Series Blu-ray

When Anime Limited first announced the release of Gundam Reconguista in G, otherwise known as Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam Reconguista in G, many retailers incorrectly listed the product as a Complete Series collection and since then it has never been amended (despite the distributor claiming that it would be released in two parts). Well as part of yesterday’s newswire the distributor revealed that it will now be able to release Gundam Reconguista in G as a Complete Series Blu-ray set and better yet it will receive that ‘special’ treatment like previous Mobile Suit Gundam releases.

Currently scheduled for release on the 3rd October 2016 this Complete Series Blu-ray release of Gundam Reconguista in G will feature all 26 episodes across three blu-ray discs in Japanese with English Subtitles along with a selection of bonus ‘on-disc’ content such as textless songs. In terms of a physical presentation then the set will come in a chipboard artbox with two amaray cases holding the discs; a presentation style which will mimic Anime Limited’s release of Mobile Suit Gundam and their upcoming release of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (which coincidentially has been delayed until the end of October). In addition to chipboard packaging with two amaray discs – all of which will feature their own unique piece of artwork – the set will also come with nine artcards; as illustrated in the packshot below.

Gundam Reconguista in G is currently scheduled for a Complete Series Blu-ray release on the 3rd October 2016 and if everything goes to plan we should see it release on this date. It’s also worth mentioning that Gundam Reconguista in G will be a Blu-ray only release and currently Anime Limited have no plans to release it on DVD.
