Anime Limited Confirms Amendments to It’s Q4 2016 Release Schedule

The phrase “How hard can it be?” that Jeremy Clarkson often spoke in the previous generation of Top Gear springs to mind when I read the latest newswire published by Anime Limited as a large portion of Anime Limited’s Q4 release schedule has been pushed back due to delays received; most of which seemingly happen to be delays in approval from the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) which is of course required by UK Law for a product to be released within the UK.

In any event; Anime Limited have confirmed that Assassination Classroom Season 1 Part 2, Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, FREE -Eternal Summer-, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam – Part 1, Psycho-Pass: The Movie and The Empire of Corpses have all been hit by delays. Some of the delays, such as Assassination Classroom Season 1 Part 2 and Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, were due to approval ratings from the BBFC taking longer than expected, where as FREE -Etneral Summer- and Empire of Corpses were hit by production delays.

The new release dates for these titles are as follows:

  • Assassination Classroom Season 1 Part 2 – 26th September 2016
  • Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad – 12th September 2016
  • FREE -Eternal Summer- – 26th September 2016
  • Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam – Part 1 – 3st October 2016
  • Psycho-Pass: The Movie – 3rd October 2016
  • Tokyo Marble Chocolate – 28th November 2016
  • The Empire of Corpses – TBA

Fortunately enough this week’s Anime Limited newswire wasn’t all doom and gloom; as the distributor revealed that it would be releasing Mobile Suit Gundam: Reconguista in G as a Complete Series Blu-ray release, whereby previously it would have been two seperate parts; and that this complete series set will follow suite with the previous Mobile Suit Gundam release whereby it featured two amary cases inside a chipboard artbox – all of which looks fantastic. This has currently been scheduled for a 3rd October 2016 release date.

Although Anime Limited have announced these new release dates it goes without saying that they could change; but for the time being at least this is what we can expect from some of the upcoming Q4 titles form Anime Limited.
