Unboxing: Noein: To Your Other Self – The Complete Series (Collector’s Edition)

After a relatively short wait Noein has arrived on Blu-ray; but what can you expect from this Collectors Edition Blu-ray release of the series? Well let’s take a look in our latest unboxing.

To start with this Collectors Edition Blu-ray release of Noein features the entire TV Anime series, which consists of 24 episodes, spread across three Blu-ray discs with each episode featuring both English and Japan audio tracks. The English dub bundled with this release is also the same one that was included with the previous DVD release by Manga Entertainment UK several years ago. So other than an improved picture quality what else can one expect from this release? Well it is presented in a chipboard artbox with a digipack design and as such the digipack will slide out of the chipboard box and once unfolded will reveal the three Blu-ray discs.

The beauty of this collectors edition set is the presentation of the artbox on the digipack and discs; as they all blend naturally together to offer the impression that the set cost more than it actually did; I for one say that this is one of the ‘cheaper’ Collectors Edition sets released by Anime Limited. Alongside the digipack casing you will also find a selection of post-card sized artcards each of which feature the franchises unique artwork on display.

Overall it is a nice set; however the most disappointing aspect – and something that seems to be a common theme amongst Anime Limited releases nowadays – is that the information sheet is actually a sticker on wrapper and as such if you wrip the wrapper off without caution you will loose the sticker sheet. Personally i prefer FUNimation’s way of handling the information as while it ‘may not be needed’ it is still part of the product you paid for.

Noein – The Complete Series (Collector’s Edition) is now available within the UK.
