Netflix UK continues to be a dominant player in the video-on-demand sector for Anime streaming as the subscription based service have now added ‘Arms’ anime adaptation of Lynn Okamoto’s ultra-violent series Elfen Lied to the service.

As far as we can understand all tweleve episodes of the original series are available to Stream on the service; but what exactly does Elfen Lied entail? Well you can find out for yourself from the synopsis.

A strange girl washes up on shore naked, unable to communicate, scared and alone. Another, a powerful mutant, uses her inhuman telekinetic powers to escape from her prison and leaves a trail of death and destruction behind her. These two couldn t be more opposite…except for the fact that they are both the same person. When two cousins give the strange girl shelter, will they come to realise the deadly secret that lies inside the mind of this horrible monster?

Alternatively those wishing to own a ‘physical’ variation of the series will be glad to know that 101 Films release of the series is still available on DVD and Blu-ray; with the Blu-ray itself containing the bonus OVA episode as well as being presented in a metalcase.
