Film4 To Broadcast The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya & The Kingdom Of Dreams And Madness Next Month

The Free-to-air UK TV Channel Film4 have recently confirmed that they will be showing Isao Takahata’s cinematic film The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya as well as the in-depth behind-the-scenes documentary film The Kingdom Of Dreams And Madness next month.

Isao Takahata’s The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya will receive it’s first UK TV broadcast on Sunday 7th August while the documentary film, which explores the creative ideas that go into making a Studio Ghibili film, The Kingdom Of Dreams And Madness will be broadcast a day later on Monday 8th August. As of yet Film4 have yet to confirm the time of when it will be broadcast on TV; however Film4 have confirmed to us that both films will be shown during the daytime and that The Tale of the Princess Kaguya will be the English Dubbed version of the film with the Japanese audio version being shown later in the year.

In any event if you have yet to watch The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya, which is currently available on DVD and Blu-ray from STUDIOCANAL, then watching the film on Film4 would be the next best thing; additionally if you have Sky you will be able to watch the film, and the documentary film, in High Definition.
