Unboxing: Selector Infected WIXOSS – The Complete Series (Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack) [USA]

With the UK Blu-ray release of Selector Infected WIXOSS being put on hiatus for the time being I think now would be the perfect time to unboxing the American Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack release of the series; so let’s get straight to it!

Originally released last year this standard variation of Selector Infected WIXOSS contains the complete series, which consists of tweleve episodes, across two Blu-ray and two DVD discs in a standard amaray packaging with carded sleeve. When it comes to FUNimation releases then its pretty much as expected. For starters the outer packaging has some nice character artwork, screenshots and information and on the inside we are treated to some nice character artwork on the back of the sleeve.

The disappointing aspect of this release however is the discs themselves; as while they do offer a ‘star night’ themed impression it is rather simplistic and basic. Selector Infected WIXOSS is full of unique characters, be it the Selectors themselves or the cards they use; but instead its just a night sky background with text. Of course it could be worse; but thats just my view on it.

This Blu-ray release of Selector Infected WIXOSS is pretty much as you expect it to be, especially when it comes to a Standard edition release by FUNimation; and for those thinking of importing then be warned as this set is Region Locked – however Anime Limited will be releasing the series on Blu-ray (and DVD) sometime in the near future.
