Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization European Collector’s Edition Bundle Announced

Those hoping for Sword Art Online to receive some form of Collectors Edition treatment are in for some exciting news as publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe have recently announced that the PS4 version of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will be receiving a Collectors Edition variation when it releases later this year.

Simply titled ‘Collectors Edition’ this bundle will contain a PS4 copy of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization and two 17cm figurines of both Kirito and Asuna in their traditional SAO outfits; all of which will be packaged together inside of a collector’s box. It’s a rather simplistic collector’s set but for those wishing to expand upon their SAO collection then it it’s a worthwhile investment.

Unfortunately Bandai Namco Entertainment have yet to reveal which retailers will be stocking this Collectors Edition set, nor how much it will cost, but we suspect that pre-order listings for the product will appear online shortly. What’s even more disappointing is that the American Collector’s Edition (illustrated below) receive the same two figures (albeit 6 inches tall) along with a soundtrack CD, Blu-ray Disc, Artbook and various decal sheets. In short our ‘European’ Collectors Edition bundle fails in comparison to the America bundle.

In addition to this collectors set a brand new trailer is scheduled to be released in the coming days which highlights some important aspects of the game; such as customisation of their characters with numerous weapons and armour, the 16-party raids and the interactions between characters and more than 300 NPCs. Furthermore, fans will learn about the story and more information about Premiere alongside the mysteries surrounding her.

As it stands Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is due for release later this year onto the PS4 and PS Vita but for the time being only the PS4 version will receive the Collectors Edition treatment.
