Ever since ATLUS announced the American release date for Persona 5 many have been speculating when a European release of the game will be mentioned; well today it seems that question has been partly answered as publisher Deep Silver, the company behind the upcoming King of Fighters title, have today announced that they have entered a publishing agreement with SEGA and Atlus for various japanese developed titles; with Persona 5 being one of the titles in question.
As it stands no dates, or platforms, have been mentioned but as part of this announcement it will see Deep Silver publish the SEGA title 7th Dragon III Code: VFD, and the ATLUS titles Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse and Persona 5; as Naoto Hiraoka, CEO, Atlus U.S.A., Inc., and senior vice president of Publishing, Sega of America, Inc. explains:
“In entering this partnership with Deep Silver, I am truly delighted we will be able to release our titles in the European regions. Not only does the deal span multiple titles, but Deep Silver has a strong presence in European and PAL retailers. They have a strong passion for being able to deliver physical games to our fans in those territories, which we hold in high regard.”
As part of this publishing agreement Deep Silver will publish the titles both into retail stores and as digital downloads onto their respective stores; and for context it was Deep Silver who handled the distribution of SEGA’s recent valkyria chronicles remastered onto the PS4.
As it stands now all we know is that Deep Silver will be publishing these titles, and potentially many more, within the UK and Europe in the near future; but we expect Deep Silver to reveal more details in the coming months.
