Following on from the selection of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 screenshots that were released onto the Bandai Namco Europe Twitter and Facebook channels earlier this week the European games publisher have today released a new gameplay trailer which showcases these screenshots in motion. The screenshots, and this newly released gameplay trailer,  highlight some of new arrivals found within Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and see my long-term ambition of having characters from Dragon Ball Z movies used within a game.

Thats right; a selection of characters from popular Dragon Ball Z movies have been confirmed as playable characters within Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2; namely the evil namekian Lord Slug (from Dragon Ball Z: Movie 4 – Lord Slug), Frieza’s older and more sinister brother Cooler (from Dragon Ball Z: Movie 5 – Cooler’s Revenge), the amusing but deadly Janemba (from Drgaon Ball Z: Movie 12 – Fusion Reborn) and finally Bardock, the farther of Goku, from the Dragon Ball Z OVA film. These characters join alongside previously confirmed movie characters Broly, Teen Trunks, Future Gohan and Turles alongside the usual selection of characters from the entire Dragon Ball Z timeline.

In addition to the characters the trailer also highlights some aspects of the brand new online hub world, known as Conton City, as well as the character creation process; furthermore a possible teaser that sees your created character go from standard to super sayian in a single motion.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently scheduled for release on the 28th October 2016 and will be released onto the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
