Throughout the past month we have reported that numerous listings for FUNimation owned titles, such as Fairy Tail, Gonna Be The Twin Tail, No-Rin and Yona of the Dawn, have appeared for pre-order on Amazon UK and during this time frame the company behind these listings has remained tight-lipped.

Well shortly after our latest article on this matter went live the UK Distributor Anime Limited confirmed that they would be distributing these shows on behalf of FUNimation; something which we previously assumed they would be doing due to their strong relationship with them at the moment.

Basically; FUNimation will handle all licensing and production of the product but its Anime Limited who will actually distribute it through their suppliers to local retailers. In a sense it is a similar process to how KAZE / VIZ Media Europe release their shows within the UK through Manga Entertainment. It’s unclear who will be handling promotion of the series but I am sure we will find out sooner or later.

It’s assume that more details will be confirmed at the upcoming London MCM Conic Com which is taking place in less than two weeks.

Hmmm interesting, do you think they will in older titles or just release the recent ones.

    • Scott says:

If FUNimation hold the UK license then its possible that they may go back and release some of their older catalogue. For now it seems that it will just be newer titles.
