A.O.T: Wings of Freedom Release Date Announced Alongside Collectors Edition Bundle


It’s been a long time coming but Koei Tecmo Europe have today announced, through a special post on the Playstation Europe Blog, that the Attack on Titan themed game known as A.O.T: Wings of Freedom will be released on the 26th Augustr 2016; and better yet it will receive the Collectors Edition treatment.

For those unfamiliar with A.O.T. Wings of Freedom it’s a game which closely follows the storyline of Attack on Titan’s first season and focuses on the events of numerous characters as they attempt to fend off the titan onslaught. Events from the first season, such as the training camp, battle for trost and protecting the walls will all appear within the game while side-missions and ‘what if’ scenarios will provide an alternate outlook on events from the anime series.

While the game will be released onto the Xbox One and PS4, as well as digitally onto the PC, PS3 and PS Vita, the Collectors Edition variation – which will be known as the Treasure Box Edition –  will only be released onto the PS4. This Limited Edition bumdle will contain a selection of special items, such as an artbook, soundtrack CD, Pin badges and muffler towel alongside an exclusive piece of DLC Content, will be exclusive to selective retailers with ShopTo.net the only retailer listing the product at the moment.

  • Official Scouting Report (an artbook showcasing the range of characters, weapons and environments the game has to offer, as well as an insight into various parts of the game).
  • Muffler Towel featuring a heroic design of Eren, Mikasa and Levi.
  • 6 Pin Badges with two different designs for each character.
  • Digital download code for an alternative special costume for Armin.

A.O.T: Wings of Freedom, otherwise known as Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, will be available from the 26th August 2016 within the UK and Europe.
