Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam – Part 1 Blu-ray Release Date Confirmed

Anime Limited have today confirmed that Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, a series which was previously announced at last years MCM Comic Con event in London, will be coming to the UK on Blu-ray later this year; starting with Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam – Part 1 on the 29th August 2016.

Synopsis:In Zeta Gundam, we see the future world of the Universal Century through a dark mirror. Having defeated the Zeon menace, the Earth Federation has itself become cruel and oppressive. A new generation of Gundam mobile suits is created not to fight for peace, but to punish the enemies of the state, and yesterday’s villains must become today’s heroes in order to balance the scales of justice. When a young civilian named Kamille Bidan is caught up in the rebellion, he little suspects the price he will pay in the fight for freedom.

We will be releasing the series over two parts on Blu-ray, with Part 1 scheduled for release on 29th August. As was the case with our Mobile Suit Gundam Part 1 release, the first 1000 units of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam will come with a Limited Edition Art Box to store both halves of the series. The box is not exclusive to any one retailer. The only the version of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Part 1 on day of release will be the version with the box. So no matter where you pre-order this you will receive the box.

Just like with the previously released Mobile Suit Gundam – Part 1 this upcoming release of Zeta Gundam will come with an exclusive artbox that is limited to just 1,000 units. Those who pre-order the Blu-ray from ‘any’ retailer will receive this version of the series and, just like with other collectors sets, an announcement will be made when stock runs low. The artbox will be big enough to fit both parts in and its assumed that Part 2 of Zeta Gundam may also come with something special; but of course this is just us speculating.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam – Part 1 will be available from the 29th August 2016 with pre-orders opening shortly across multiple retailers.
