Durarara!! x2 Shou Delayed Due to Poor Quality Artwork on Packaging

Following on from the news that a selection of Anime Limited titles, namely A Letter to Momo and Psychic School Wars, had been delayed due to Quality concerns the UK Anime Distributor have today revealed that Durarara!! x2 Shou will also receive a delay due to the poor quality of artwork presented on the rigid chipboard art box.
Basically before a product is sent to suppliers and retailers Anime Limited receive a sample for final checks; however upon receiving their Durarara!! X2 Shou sample they noticed that the artwork used on the rigid chipboard art box was not to the same standards as previous releases.
It turns out that the manufacturer used the incorrect artwork assets when creating the chipboard art box and as such a lower quality image has been printed (think of it likes those Malaysian imports you see sometimes on eBay); as a blog post on the Anime Limited website explains.
Due to a production error the quality of the design on the rigid case has come out less than adequate compared the rest of the product, and our other releases in general. The art is impacted due to the use of lower resolution images that were NOT the final files signed off by Anime Limited. Though this has not impacted the remainder of the release, to be perfectly clear.
A detailed explanation, as well as some comparison photos, can be found in a blog post on the Anime Limited website; but in turn it means that Durarara!! X2 Shou has now been delayed until the 30th May 2016, however this date has still to be confirmed so we can expect Anime Limited to make another announcement in the coming weeks.
