Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom European Release Date Announced

It’s been eight months since Japanese publisher Koei Tecmo announced that the Attack on Titan game would be coming to western auidiences; and today Koei Tecmo Europe have confirmed that it will be released on the 26th August 2016 for a variety of different platforms.

Entitled Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, otherwise promoted as A.O.T: Wings of Freedom, the game will follow the explots of the original manga and anime series which sees Eren, Armin, Mikasa and the other members of the Scout Regiment protect the distrinct of trost from a titan invasion before moving out of the city in an attempt to take back the lost land. Elements from both the anime and manga will be present in the game and judging from inital Japanese gameplay videos, as the game was recently released in Japan, it has prooved to be quite popular.

What is interesting however is that this Western (American and European) release of Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom will be made available as a retail product on the PS4 and Xbox One while PS Vita, PS3 and PC users will have to download it digitally through the Playstation Network Store and Steam.

In any event; the confirmation that Attack on Titan is coming to the UK, Europe and America, albeit in Japanese with English subtitles and text, is good news – and it is one that i will be keeping an eye on.
