After weeks of waiting CITV have finally confirmed that the nineteenth series of Pokemon, otherwise known as Pokemon XYZ, will receive it’s UK Broadcast debut on Saturday 9th April 2016; and to celebrate its arrival the free-to-view broadcasting channel will be having a special marathon event with two feature-length-films and three special OVA episodes being broadcast across the entire weekend.

It all starts at 9:25am on Saturday 9th April 2016; as CITV will broadcast the latest English Dubbed Pokemon film, known as Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, followed by two Pokemon: Mega-Evolution Special Episodes at 11am and 11:30am before finally reaching the UK debut of Pokemon XYZ at 12pm.

On Sunday (10th April 2016) however older generations of Pokemon fans, such as myself, will be able to enjoy the third Pokemon film, known as Pokemon the Movie 3: Spell of the Unknown, at 9:25am followed by another two Mega-Evolution Specials at 11am and 11:30am.

Saturday 9th April 2016:

9:25am – Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages
11:00am – Pokemon Mega-Evolution Special
11:30am – Pokemon Mega-Evolution Special
12:00pm – Pokemon the Series: XYZ

Sunday 10th April 2016:

9:25am – Pokemon the Movie 3: Spell of the Unknown
11:00am – Pokemon Mega-Evolution Special
11:30am – Pokemon Mega Evolution Special

It’s currently unclear if the Mega-Evolution episodes shown on Saturday will be repated again on the Sunday; but seeing as four Mega-Evolution Special exist then it could be that all four specials will be shown on TV throughout the weekend.

In any event this is an impressive line-up of Pokemon content; and better yet CITV is completely free to view on Sky, Freesat, Virgin Media and Freeview; the only disappointing news is that its not available in High Definition. It’s also worth mentioning that you are not able to watch (or record) these titles you will be able to catch-up on them via the ITV Hub online.
