Chika Chika Idol begins its “Cheer Leader Illustration” Desktop Wallpaper Campaign


Chika Chika Idol, the short CGI Idol anime by Hiroshi Nishikiori thats currently on Kickstarter, continues to try and draw attention to itself and today Awesome Japan have opted to launch a brand new ‘Cheer Leader’ themed campaign to help promote the Kickstarter project.

Dubbed the “Cheer Leader Illustration” this promotional campaign will see popular manga and anime illustrators create specialised desktop wallpapers for the public to download; each of which will be available for a limited time.

8th March 2016:

  • “CHIKA*CHIKA IDOL All the Way!!” by Tsuji Santa (Super Sonico, etc.)

10th March 2016:

  • ”Go For It! Patisserie” by Shinya Hasegawa (Revolutionary Girl Utena, etc.)

12th March 2016:

”Stars Ready to Shine!” by Haruko Iizuka (School-Live!, etc.)

These Wallpaper illustrations will be available for download at the Kickstarter project page. In the meantime the Kickstarter Project itself, which currently stands at over $12k is looking to secure $130k so that an animated CGI short of a new idol group can be created and released into the world.
