Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Announced for Western Release

Following on from the recent release of Sword Art Online: Lost Song publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have recently announced that the next Sword Art Online game, known as Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, will be making its way to the PS4 and PS Vita next year.

Unlike the previous video-game adaptations of Sword Art Online this ‘Hollow Realization’ variation of the game will allow players to explore a brand new game-world and story from the very beginning. As you may expect players will take on the role of Kirito whereby he enter a new VRMMORPG world called “Sword Art Origin”, which was created on the game’s original sever, giving players flashbacks of memories from past events. Players will enter the early period within the “Sword Art Origin” world and must find a way to win the game one more time.

As you may expect as players progress through the game-world they will find fan-favourite characters such as Asuna, Leafa and Silica as well as make new friends that are ‘exclusive’ to this variation of the game. As it stands Bandai Namco Entertainment are being relatively ‘tight-lipped’ about the project; but judging from the inital announcement trailer – which can be seen below – the game looks to be a massive step-up from previousl instalments.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will be released towards the end of next year for the PS4 and PS Vita with more details to be revealed in the coming months.
