Standard Editions of Kill La Kill Due Next Year

Ever since Anime Limited began releasing Kill La Kill as ‘Collectors Edition’ instalments fans of the show that weren’t interested in the high-price-tag or collectable content for a standard edition release of the series; and while Anime Limited confirmed they would be releasing standard edition variations nothing was ever revealed… until recently.

Due for release next year will be standard edition variations of the Kill La Kill Blu-ray and DVD Collectors Sets and just as expected they will be released in a similar ‘three-part-fashion’ with the discs themselves being exactly the same; with the episode split being:

  • Part 1: Episodes 1-9
  • Part 2: Episodes 10-19
  • Part 3: Episodes 20-24+OVA Episode 25

Each set will have a RRP of £29.99 for the Blu-ray with the exception of Part 3 which will have an RRP of £24.99. Obviously online pricing will be lower but it is interesting to see that both DVD and Blu-ray versions will have the same RRP price. What’s even more interesting is that the RRP price isn’t that much cheaper than the current Collectors Edition sets and, on average, is higher than most complete series or half-season collections released by other anime distributors.

Of course we are referring to the RRP Price; and as such prices listed online will be much lower. Anime Limited will reveal further release plans later next year.
