Anime Limited License Genius Party and Genius Party Beyond for UK Release

Tis the season to be giving and Anime Limited are certainly doing that; not only have the UK Anime Distributor began their “12 days of christmas” sale but today they have announced a brand new license acquistion; and it’s known as the Genius Party and Genius Party Beyond.

For those unfamiliar with the title (me included) Genius Party is a series of 7 short films released by Studio 4°C in Japan in 2007 that featured different creative minds from all sides of the anime spectrum coming together for each film. A followup, known as Genius Party Beyond, was later released and featured new 5 short films bringing more creative minds together.

Its not your ‘traditional’ anime release and offers something more on the lines of Short Peace, which Anime Limited have still yet to release, whereby a selection of short films are combined together.

Further details on this particular license can be found on the official Anime Limited blog; but for the time being at least both collections will receive a UK DVD and Blu-ray release in the near future.
