During the MCM London Comic Con weekend Anime Limited, with some help from Eri Suzuki from Sunrise, revealed that the UK Distributor would be releasing Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam and Turn A Gundam into the UK. However what was revealed were the formats that these titles would be released in.

Well that question has now been answered; as over on the Anime Limited blog it’s been confirmed that Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam will be released on Blu-ray where as the ZZ Gundam and Turn A Gundam will be DVD only. Each series will be released throughout 2016 with confirmed release dates to come in due time.

This announcement doesn’t come entirely as a surprise; as the US release of Turn A Gundam is DVD only as well – so it was assumed that our UK release would also be DVD only. The surprising news however comes in the form of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, which is of course a sequel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, being released on Blu-ray; and if it looks as good as the original Gundam release then its a worthy addition to your anime blu-ray collection.

All three titles are expected to be released next year; Gundam: Reconguista in G meanwhile has also been confirmed, once again, for a Blu-ray release – a series which is also due out next year.
