Pokemon Movie Trilogy To Be Released on Blu-ray This December in Australia

Beyond Entertainment, The Australian Distributor for the Pokemon anime series have recently announced through social media that they will be releasing the ‘original’ Pokemon Movie trilogy, which consists of Pokemon: The First Movie, Pokemon The Movie 2000 and Pokemon 3: The Movie, on Blu-ray (and DVD) later this year.

Why exactly am i mentioning this? Well in case you aren’t aware Australian Blu-rays are REGION B and work perfectly fine on UK Blu-ray players so this means the UK Auidience can now gain access to the original Pokemon films in their High Definition remastered format; something which has been long-awaited-for by the Pokemon Community.

Specifics of this particular release are relatively unknown but judging from the packaging (as illustrated above) each film will be its own disc, so thats three discs in total, and will all ne stored inside a steelbook styled metal case. As this is an ‘english’ release of the trilogy its assumed that only the English Audio track will be included on the disc.

What also makes this announcement interesting is that it will be the first time that the original movie trilogy will be released outside of Japan in High Definition format on a Blu-ray disc.

The Pokemon Movie Trilogy Collection is expected to be released on the 2nd December 2015 and can be pre-ordered from numerous Australian retailers such as JB-Hifi and DVDOrchard.
