Unboxing: OniAi – The Complete Series (S.A.V.E Edition) [US]

A few years back FUNimation tried doing something a little bit different by releasing a subtitled only Blu-ray and DVD combo pack for the harem styled comedy romance known as OniAi; the result was mixed as shortly after the set came out it went out of print. Fast forward into 2015 and that paritcular series has been released as a S.A.V.E Edition on Blu-ray only and today i’ll be unboxing it.

There’s not really much to say; the S.A.V.E Edition contains the two Blu-ray discs, which features the entire series with a variety of bonus content, from the original print run and re-packages them in a traditional amaray styled Blu-ray disc case. The positives however are that while the front sleeve features the green S.A.V.E Banner (which is of course an eye-sore) the reverse sleeve has the same artwork and layout without the annoying green banner; but be warned there is a slightl difference – the clothing has been removed from the girls.

In regards to the Blu-ray disc artwork then its pretty good; yet again FUNimation tend to use the ‘new colouring method’ on their discs and as such it looses most of its appeal; which is a same as the artwork on the disc looks pretty cool. Speaking of these Blu-ray discs they are Region B compatible; so you can easily import this set and play it back on your UK Region B devices without a problem.

OniAi – The Complete Series (S.A.V.E Edition) is now available on Blu-ray and can be picked-up for an exceptionally good price.
