Madoka Magica Movies and Knights of Sidonia Pushed Back Until September

Following on from yesterday’s ‘stock issue’ with Nisekoi – Season 1 Part 1 the anime distributor Manga Entertainment UK, and fellow entertainment distributor Animatsu Entertainment, have today revealed that both Knights of Sidonia – Season 1 and Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movies 1 and 2 have been deayed until the beginning of September.

The reason for the delay is due to approval times taking longer than they expected; as explained in a statement released below:

“Unfortunately due to approval times taking slightly longer than we anticipated, the release date for Knights of Sidonia Series 1 and Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movie 1 & 2 have now had to be pushed back to September 7th. Please know that we constantly strive to give fans the best possible quality releases and we hope you’ll see the detail and effort reflected in these titles. Retailer sites will be updated shortly with the new dates.”

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movie 1 and 2 was originally due for release at the end of this month, but was then later shifted to the 10th August 2015 and now – thanks to this latest delay – it won’t be released until the 7th September 2015. Furthermore we assume this ‘delay’ effects both the DVD and Blu-ray releases of the film(s); although Manga UK haven’t exactly specified this fact. Knights of Sidonia – Season 1 on the otherhand was due to be released a week later on the 17th August 2015; but it too will now be released on the 7th September 2015.
