Anime Limited Clarifies Release Date Plans for Upcoming Titles

Earlier in the week anime fans who pre-ordered numerous titles for upcoming Anime Limited / All The Anime titles, such as Sword Art Online II – Part 1 and Space Dandy Season 2, received notifications stating that the release date had been changed; of course this caused some confusion but today Anime Limited set the record straight in a brand new newswire posted on their blog.

For starters Sword Art Online II – Part 1, which was due to be released at the beginning of august, will now be released on the 31st August 2015 due to concerns with the that the item would not be produced correctly (such as the recent Kill La Kill – Part 3 issue). On the other hand Space Dandy – Season 2 (Collectors Edition) has been pushed back to the 24th August 2015 due to approvals from the Japanese licensor taking longer than expected. As a result of these delays the finalised artwork, for both releases, can now be shown off to the public.

Interestingly enough as the Collectors Edition of Space Dandy – Season 2 has been delayed it also means that the standard edition version will also receive a delay; and as such has now been moved at a ‘To Be Announced’ date.

It’s not all doom and gloom however as Anime Limited went on to clarify their release plans for some titles that had ‘unspecified’ release dates. For starters 009 RE:Cyborg is expected to be released next month meanwhile their release of Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya now has a confirmed release date of 28th September 2015. Finally; Anime Limited have expressed that the 7th December 2015 release date for Psychic School Wars is just a placeholder due to hold-ups with the English Dub.

But wait there is more; as Anime Limited went on to further explain their plans for other ‘unspecified’ titles; such as:

• Full Metal Panic: Ultimate Edition – Details are still being finalised although it will be released this year and contain all three seasons.
• Gankutsuou: The Count Of Monte Cristo – The current ETA is this year and production for the UK release will start this year
• Fusé: Memoirs Of A Huntress – Will be a subtitle only release with an ETA of Q4 2015
• Durarara!! x2 – Production details are to be confirmed but Anime Limited are looking at an early 2016 release.
  
• Aldnoah.Zero – Production details are to be confirmed but Anime Limited are looking at an early 2016 release
• Nerima Daikon Brothers – Anime Limited plans to unveil some details surrounding this title in the coming weeks; ironically however the series is available as a S.A.V.E. Edition within America.

So there is some bad news and there is some good news; but at least Anime Limited are on top of the problems and making sure that everything runs smoothly.
