Unboxing: Ben-To – The Complete Series (Limited Edition Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack) [USA]

The UK release of Ben-To has an interesting history; first it was announced as Blu-ray only release and then it was demoted to a DVD, and when it did finally get released in the UK the quality was questionable at best. So with the UK release being slightly ‘botched’ its time to look elsewhere; and where better to look than at the American Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack release – which is what i’ll be unboxing today.

The American Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack release of Ben-To is region free; so you’ll be able to play it perfectly fine on UK players and Just like with most ‘first print-run editions’ of FUNimation releases Ben-To comes in a chipboard artbox with two Blu-ray amaray cases on the inside. As you’d expect each of these cases contain two discs inside, with two discs for the Blu-ray and two discs for the DVD, thus making it a four-disc set in total. The disc artwork remains as ‘uneventful’ as ever; but the artwork on the artbox and sleeves of the blu-ray cases, both of which are reversable, more than make-up for it – as each side features a singluar character.

Theres not a lot to really explain or show; but if you like artboxes and artwork then this Limited Edition version of the series is the way to go; otherwise you may just want to look at the standard edition release of the series – it contains the same disc content but housed within a singular case. Ben-To – The Complete Series (Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack) is now available, and has been for some-time.
