Mulitple MVM Entertainment Titles Delayed Until the End of June

super_sonico_screenshotIt seems the 29th June 2015 is going to be a pretty busy day for Anime releases, as not only has Anime Limited delayed a handful of titles, such as Tiger & Bunny: The Rising and Kill La Kill – Part 3, to this date but now MVM Entertainment are making there own release date alterations; namely with The Familiar of Zero – Season 3 and Super Sonico – The Complete Collection.

An official announcement on either of these delays has yet to be mentioned, although MVM’s own online store has began altering the release dates, but earlier today we received the updated release dates on the product fact-sheets which are sent out to publications such as ourselves.

Basically both titles will be released on the 29th June 2015, alongside MVM Entertainment’s DVD release of Patlabor: The New Files Collection. Previously Super Sonico – The Complete Collection was due for release on the 15th June 2015, meanwhile The Familiar of Zero – Season 3 was previously slated for a 22nd June 2015 release; so at least both titles have only suffered ‘minor’ delays – presumably due to stock not arriving in time.

Interestingly enough this factsheet also reveals that the Familiar of Zero – Series 3 will be released on a single Blu-ray Disc as opposed to two discs. The reasoning behind this is because Sentai Filmworks, the studio who originally released the show in America, found a way of putting ‘Subbed-Only-Shows’ onto a single Blu-ray disc without affecting the picture quality; and since MVM will be using the same disc masters they have followed suit. The DVD version on the otherhand will still have the series spread across two DVD discs.

So there we have it; both The Familiar of Zero – Series 3 and Super Sonico – The Complete Collection will be released on Blu-ray and DVD from the 29th June 2015 within the UK.
