Steins;Gate Game To Be Released onto PS3 and PS Vita This Month

Several months ago European publisher PQUBE announced that they would be releasing an English localised version of NitroPlus’s Steins;Gate visual novel for the PS3 and PS Vita; well over the past few week numerous retailers have revealed that the game will be released on the 22nd May 2015.

So whats so special about this release? Well for starters it is being released as both a retail and digital product but more importantly its the debut ‘english’ release for the game on consoles. For those unaware this Steins;Gate game was what inspired the anime series, which Manga Entertainment UK have released on DVD and Blu-ray; and just like the anime it follows a group of tech-savy students who discover that they can alter the past by using a microwave coupled with a mobile phone. Of course time travel is a dangerous activity and as such causes repercussions for those involved; including deaths and conspiracy theories within a certain organisation known as SERN.

As steins;gate is a visual novel there is more dialogue than actual gameplay; but if you enjoyed games such as Virture’s Last Reward – as well as the dialogue sequences in most anime styled JPRG titles – then you’ll definately want to take a look at Steins;Gate on the PS3 and PS Vita.

Steins;Gate will is scheduled to be released for the PS3 and PS Vita as both a digital and retail product on the 22nd May 2015; additionally PQUBE have teamed-up with Rice Digital to offer an ‘exclusive’ Collectors Edition which contains the game, an artbook, a metal upa and some pin badges all neatly packed inside a collectors box.
