Unboxing: Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail – Complete OVA Series (Blu-ray) [UK]

The UK Blu-ray release of Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail has been out for awhile, and we even reviewed the collection just before it came out, but now that we’ve got our hands on a psyhical boxed copy i’ve decided to do, belatently, an unboxing of it.

For starters in case you didn’t know Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail is 5 Episode OVA Series that continues where the original TV Series left off, whereby the main cast (Rock, Benny, Revy etc) are working at the Lagoon Company; however when Roberta’s master gets killed she goes on a rampage across the globe and it’s now up to the Lagoon Company to put a stop to it. It’s an action packed series filled with gunfights, violence and racial slurs – but its all in the name of fun so its all good.

When it comes to this Blu-ray set then it’s a single disc, in a slimline Blu-ray case, with a carded sleeve – well it is a Kaze release after all. Anyway what’s unusual about this release is that the artwork on the carded sleeve is complety different to that on the blu-ray sleeve. In retrospect the blu-ray sleeve is the same artwork used in France, for the french release. Other than that there isn’t anything special; the disc has no extras and the artwork on the disc is pretty bare – but its the packaging (and outer packaging) that makes it quite interesting, even if it is covered up with various logos.

Anyway; Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail – Complete OVA Series is now available within the UK.
