Anime Related Event Schedule for MCM London Comic Con October 2014

With the London MCM Comic Con Expo being bigger than ever we’ve decided to ‘track down’ all of the anime related events and stash them together in a single easy-to-read article; that way you’ll be able to plan your weekend accordingly. So without further a do lets get to it!

Friday:

Platinum Suite 1:

6pm       Appleseed Alpha

A chance to watch Appleseed Alpha ahead of its upcoming release on Blu-Ray and DVD, to attend all you need is a wristband and you can collect yours from Stand 2334.

11am     Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist

Members of the cast and crew of the world renowned, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, will take to the stage (including director and actor of Akuma, Joey Ansah) to discuss the project that has taken the world by storm with over 5 million views online. It is now being brought DVD and Blu-ray by Manga Entertainment (on 27th Oct.) in the form of a feature length film with an additional 14 minutes of footage!

2:15pm Manga Entertainment Presents The Past 10 Years of Anime In The UK

To coincide with the 10th Anniversary of NEO Magazine, representatives from the UK’s anime distributors, Manga Entertainment, Anime Limited and MVM Entertainment, along with NEO Magazine themselves will take to the stage to look back at how anime has grown in the last decade in the UK.

Theatre B:

10am     Ultimate VA Panel

A discussion of epic proportions on the skills required to bring life to games and animation on both the small and big screen. DC Douglas – Resident Evil 5, Travis Willingham – Bleach, Laura Bailey – Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Robin Atkin Downes – The Strain.

12pm     Anime Limited and MCM Expo Presents: Anime Guest of Honour Shinichiro Watanabe, director of Space Dandy.

Join MCM Expo’s anime & manga guest of honour, Shinichiro Watanabe as he discusses his latest works – Terror in Resonance and Space Dandy as well as his experience of the anime industry.

2pm       Bandai Namco Games Panel

BANDAI NAMCO GAMES UK proudly presents 3 exciting upcoming games in a show exclusive presentation at MCM London Comic Con!

Joining the stage, Development Team Dimps will be showcasing Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the first Dragon Ball game for PS4 and Xbox One! Tales Series Producer, Hideo Baba will be making a return to MCM London Comic Con to talk about Tales of Hearts R for PS Vita. Eager fans will also get a glimpse on the upcoming Tales of Zestiria!

11am        Vic Mignogna – Boldy going where no voice actor has gone before!

Best known to anime fans for his role as Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Vic has also played the roles of Fai in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Ikkaku in Bleach, Dark in D.N.Angel, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Broly in Dragonball Z, and Kougaiji in Saiyuki  to name but a few! He has also fulfilled a personal dream of his by playing Capt. James T Kirk in the successful Star Trek Continues web series.

3pm           Anime Industry Panel

Representatives from Manga Entertainment UK, Anime Limited and MVM Entertainment will take to the stage in a Q&A session about future UK anime releases, potential acquisitions and anything they want to throw at the panel!

As previously mention this weekend schedule is just for anime related events; however you can see the full schedule on the official MCM Comic Con website. The London MCM Comic Con Expo takes place this weekend, between the 24th October 2014 and the 26th October 2014, at the London ExCel Centre.
