Pokemon Advanced Generation TV Series Added to Amazon Instant Video

It seems Netflix, or the official Pokemon TV App, isn’t the only place to watch Pokemon legally within the UK as the online streaming service Amazon Instant Video have recently added ‘majority’ of the Pokemon Advanced Generation TV series to their streaming line-up.
The Advanced Generation Series, which consists of Pokemon Advanced, Pokemon Advanced Challenge, Pokemon Advanced Battle and Pokemon Battle Frontier sees Ash and Brock joined up with brother and sister Max and May as they travel round the Hoenn Region taking part in Gym Battles and Contests. The later series, Battle Frontier, sees the same group of heroes travel round to Kanto region taking part in various ‘Battle Brains’ in abid to become the strongest Pokemon trainer.
Interestingly the series are not listed on Amazon Instant Video as ‘Pokemon Advanced’, and are instead listed as Pokemon The Series Ruby and Sapphire – with around 12 episodes per volume – which i believe is similar to how Pokemon is being sold digitally on the iTunes App Store. Either way it’s a series that was originally released alongside the GameBoy Advance releases of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, so it’s of no surprise that the series has become available to watch now when the ‘3DS remaster’ release of the game is due out next month – as it’s another way to promote the upcoming game.
Anyway in order to view these episodes you will need an Amazon Instant Video or LOVEFilm Instant Subscription, and the series can be viewed through various media outlets including the Xbox One, PS4 and iPad.
