Giovanni’s Island To Debut in UK Cinemas Next Month; Home Video Release To Receive Three Variations

If you’ve been keeping up with the news on All The Anime’s official Giovanni Island website then you may consider this ‘old news’ either-way the UK Anime distributor have revealed that Giovanni’s Island, a a feature-length animated film directed by Mizuho Nishikubo and produced by Production I.G, will receive it’s UK cinematic debut on the 10th October 2014 at the BFI Southbank in London.
The film will then be shown on the 11th October 2014 at the BFI Southbank in London as well as various other places around the UK, such as the Glasgow Film Theatre on the 12th October and the Film house in Edinburgh on the 18th October 2014. Currently these are the only locations that have been ‘confirmed’ to be showing the film; although it is expected the new locations (and dates) will be revealed in due course; additionally cinemas whishing to show the film can get in touch with All The Anime to arrange it.
In addition to the films cinematic release details All The Anime have also unveiled their plans for the Home Video (Blu-ray and DVD) release, and just like their other releases Giovanni’s island will be available in three different variations; Ultimate Edition, Blu-ray and DVD, each of which are expected to be released by January next year.

- 76 page softback book delving deeper into the world of Giovanni’s Island – both for production and artwork.
- 55 minutes of extra features including a comprehensive Making Of (38 mins), Digital Art Gallery, Interview with the Russian voice of Tanya & a deleted music clip from the film!
- Limited to 1000 copies only in the world – so it’s a rare chance to own the best possible edition of Giovanni’s Island on the market. Art card inside certifying the number the release is in the series.
- Dubbed and subtitled versions of the film available.

Packaging designs of each of three different releases of the film will be unveiled in due time; but at least for now we know what to expect with Giovanni’s Island when it releases on Blu-ray and DVD later next year.
