Manga UK Announcements from Scotland MCM Comic Con 2014

Another weekend; another expo; this time the MCM Comic Con in Scotland and while the event maybe drawing to a close on it’s first day UK Anime Distributor Manga Entertainment revealed some pretty interesting pieces of information during it’s live panel.

For starters the distributor announced that it had acquried the UK distribution rights to Ben-To and Good Luck Girl!, which is known in Japan as Binbogami-ga! Interestingly both of these titles will only be released exclusively on Blu-ray; which means if you don’t own a Blu-ray player, or even a PS3/PS4/Xbox One console, then you won’t be able to watch either of the series. Both Ben-To and Good Luck Girl! will be available in January 2015.

The final ‘new’ title announcement came in the form of Fairy Tail – Collection 3; a release which combines Fairy Tail – Part 5 and Fairy Tail – Part 6 into a single collection. Fairy Tail – Collection 3 will be available on DVD and Blu-ray in early January 2015.

In addition to these new announcements Manga Entertainment UK clarified some details surrounding a few upcoming titles; namely Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Attack on Titan Part 2. For starters Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods will be available on the 10th November 2014 as a DVD, Blu-ray and Collectors Edition Combo Pack and each release of the film will contain both the original theatrical version and the Directors Cut version; whats more is that the Collectors Edition will include an extra DVD disc filled with bonus materials and come with 4 unique artcards.

And finally Attack on Titan – Part 2 will be available on both DVD and Blu-ray before the year ends but more interestingly is that it will come with a booklet similar to the one included with the Collectors Edition version of Attack on Titan – Part 1.

So there we have it; does any of these new announcements interest you? Let us know!
