All The Anime Clarifies Content Included with Gurren Lagann: Ultimate Blu-ray Edition Collection

It’s been awhile since we last heard from All The Anime, also known as Anime Limited, about their upcoming ‘Ultimate Edition’ release of Gurren Lagann on Blu-ray and today the UK Anime Distributor has broke it’s silence to reveal some interesting and exciting, but potentially disappointing news.

First of all the release has been pushed back once again until the 29th September 2014; which means an additional five weeks waiting for those that are eager to get their hands on it – such as ourselves. The reason for this delay is because All The Anime only received the “GO AHEAD” from the Japanese licensor last week regarding artwork used within the art-book and since it takes around 5 weeks for the materials to be created the entire set has to be pushed back slightly.

Of course with bad news usually comes good news and All The Anime have provided some interesting bits of news; for starters the artbook will be bigger than previously expected and because of this the rigid box will be bigger than usual but more importantly the artbook will feature 116 pages worth of content as opposed to the previously announced 100. That’s not all, as All The Anime have also confirmed that the HD-Bitrate for the Gurren Lagann episodes (and presumably movies) will average at 30mbps, a much higher speed than the traditional UK Blu-ray release.

Finally to round out the ‘update’ All The Anime confirmed the final specification details for this release; all of which can be found below:
