MCM London Comic-Con May 2014 Anime Related Event Schedule

The Event Schedule for the entire MCM London Comic Con for May 2014 has recently gone live on the MCM Website, however if like us you are only interested in the anime related content then why not let us break it down and show you whats on offer.

Friday 23rd May 2014:

3:30pm – 4:30pm Cosplay ‘How To Start’ (PopAsia Stage):

Ever wanted to do Cosplay but unsure how? then visit this hor long session to see exactly what cosplay is and find out how to take part in it.

4pm – 5pm The Mega Voice Artist Panel (Thearte A):

A discussion of epic proportions on the skills required as they discuss the skill required to bring life to games and animation on both the small and big screen. Phil LaMarr – Futurama, Samurai Jack & Star Wars: The Clone Wars; Wendee Lee – Cowboy Bebop, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya & Bleach;  and Greg Cipes –  Teen Titans & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

4:30pm – 5:30pm EuroCosplay Q&A (PopAsia Stage):

Saturday 24th May 2014:

9am – 10:30am Wendee Lee Signing (MyMag Stand):

12pm – 12:45pm Manga Entertainment UK Anime Guest Of Honour Panel (Theatre B):

Manga and MCM Comic Con are proud to present this exclusive panel with the creators of Blue Exorcist: The Movie, which will be released in the UK by Manga Entertainment on Monday 26^th May. We hope to bring fans a unique insight into the production of one of the last few year’s most popular new shonen series and find out what happens behind the scenes to make an entertaining and successful anime feature-length movie.

12pm – 1:30pm Bandai Namco Games Panel (Theatre A):

Bandai Namco are proud to present on stage the next instalments of the incredible Tales JRPG series by special guest all the way from Japan, Series Producer Hideo Baba! Following after is the upcoming Free-to-play game for PS3 presented by Ace Producer Kazutoki Kono, Ace Combat Infinity!

3pm – 3:45pm Yoshiki Hayashi Panel (Theatre B):

MCM London Comic is proud to welcome legendary Japanese musician, songwriter, composer and record producer to the event and as part of this talk, fans can hear him speak about his work and answer any questions they have too.

4pm – 5pm Manga Entertainment UK Panel (Theatre A):

Join Jeremy Graves, Jerome Mazandarani and Andrew Hewson as they bring you the latest news on what to expect in the future from Manga Entertainment including news on the UK release of Attack On Titan, the anime classic Ghost In The Shell being released on Blu-ray for the first time and lots more! You can also expect announcements of new titles coming to the UK as well!

5pm – 7pm EuroCosplay Qualifier (Theatre A):

Our Saturday Cosplay Masquerade is a UK qualifier for the EuroCosplay Championships 2014. Among the people displaying fantastic costumes and performing for your entertainment, one will be selected to represent the United Kingdom at the five year anniversary EuroCosplay Championships Final at the MCM London Comic Con in October. Best of luck to everyone taking part!

Sunday 25th May 2014:

11am – 12pm Aniplex of America Panel (Theatre B):

Aniplex of America is a subsidiary of the company behind such hits as Gurren Lagann, Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, Kill la Kill, Sword Art Online, Durarara!! and many more titles.  Launched in 2010 they’ve quickly become known for quality product and manage a lot of great works.

Come along to the panel for a rare chance to hear about what they do and ask them questions directly!

1pm – 2pm Wendee Lee, The Voice of League of Legends’ Leona & More (Games Stage):

Wendee Lee has voiced more video games than you’ve had hot dinners – true story – and she joins us on the Games Stage to talk about her career and her roles, from Dynasty Warriors and Diablo, to Persona and of course, League of Legends.

2pm – 3pm Wendee Lee Signing (MyMag Stand):

Visit the MyMag stand and receive a signature from Wendee Lee, the voice actor for popular anime and gaming characters.

3pm – 3:45pm Anime Industry Panel (Theatre B):

Representatives from Manga Entertainment, Anime Limited, MVM Entertainment and Aniplex will be sharing the stage to bring you news on what you can expect in the way of anime releases coming to the UK. You will also have the opportunity to put your questions to each distributor.

3pm – 5pm Cosplay Masquerade (Theatre A):

Our ever popular Cosplay Masquerade allows our attendees to showcase their hard work in the craftsmanship focused contest and somehow also makes room to cram an array of performances in as well. All are welcome to come and be inspired by our cosplayers… maybe next time you will take home a prize?
