Scotland Loves Animation To Go on Tour Around Scotland This Summer

Anime fans in Scotland will be interested to hear that the Anime Festival Scotland Loves Animation will be going on tour, with it bringing a variety of Anime films to various venues across Scotland.
If you do not live in Scotland, or can’t get up there, then obviously this news will be a bit of a disappointment – but its nice to see Anime films being taken seriously and used in mysterious new ways. Anyway the tour has ‘technically’ already started, as it began on the 18th April 2014, but the first film being shown isn’t until 11th May 2014 so there is still some time to book seats and arrange travel.
Depending on what film you want to watch depends on the location you’ll need to visit, as each cinema will be showing a different film – for instance Hippodrome in Bo’ness will be showing Patema Inverted while the Filmhouse in Edrinburgh will be showing both Redline and Blue Exorcist.
A complete list of dates and times have yet to be confirmed, but here is the list of current showings:
Aberfeldy – Birks Cinema:
- Sunday 11th May – 5:45PM – Akira / Wolf Children
Bo’ness – Hippodrome:
- Saturday 31st May – 2:30PM – Patema Inverted
Dundee – DCA:
- Wednesday 21st May – 6PM – Blue Exorcist the Movie
- Wednesday 28th May – 6PM – Patema Inverted
Dumfries – Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre:
- Friday 9th May – 7:30PM – Patema Inverted
- Monday 2nd June – 6:30PM – Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo
Edinburgh – Filmhouse:
- Saturday 10th May – 3:45PM – Redline
- Sunday 11th May – 3:30PM – Blue Exorcist the Movie
