All The Anime, also known as Anime Limited, have today taken to their official blog to ‘confirm’ their release line-up for the first quarter of 2014 in addition to clarifying a few issues raised with some upcoming releases, namely the home video releases of 009 RE: Cyborg and the Shinkai Twinpack.

First of all the release of 009 RE: Cyborg has been delayed due to the English Dub not being completed.  Once the english dub has been completed (and become available) All The Anime will announce a new release date, as mentioned in their blog post:

We have experienced a set back with the release of 009 RE:CYBORG due to a delay in the completion of the English dub of the film. We’re still waiting on an updated delivery date for this and can’t give you a firm date as of yet. We will, of course, keep you informed when we’ve got some dates locked down.

The second title to receive a huge set-back is the Shinkai Twinpack, a double pack which is expected to contain both The Place Promised in our Early Days and Voices of a Distant Star movies. This release has been delayed due the English Audio track not being included with the original assets, and as such All The Anime is hunting it down. Due to this issue the entire release is being held up, but once All The Anime obtain the English Dub audio track a new release date will be announced, yet again as explained in a statement from All The Anime:

At the moment, the release of the twinpack is being held up by some difficulties getting our hands on the English language assets for the films (Place Promised and Voices), the rights to which reside elsewhere and not with Sentai Filmworks. This is something we’re currently working on and should have sorted soon – no firm dates yet, but as ever keep an eye out for announcements and posts updating you on this.

Both titles are currently delayed until further notice, which is of course disappointing for the fans and frustrating for the UK Distributor.

In the meantime All The Anime have issued a list of all the titles they hope to release during the first quarter of 2014, and it is a pretty interesting list as well.

Titles coming out in Q1 of 2014 (January – April)

  • Outlaw Star
  • Tiger and Bunny: The Beginning (movie)
  • Garden of Words
  • Durarara!!
  • Nerima Daikon Brothers
  • Gurren Lagann Collector’s Edition
  • A Letter to Momo (Theatrical release)

Excluding “A Letter To Momo” all of the listed titles are expected to be released onto both Blu-ray and DVD during the first quarter of 2014.
