Manga Entertainment UK has today idenified a possible technical issue with the Blu-ray Disc for Un-Go: The Complete Series, which is being released on the 17th June 2013 as a Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack.

According to the statement issued by Manga UK the Blu-ray disc for Un-Go is not compatible with Panasonic Blu-ray players and after a quick inspection with our Panasonic Blu-ray Player (BDT-120) we can confirm that their is indeed a fault with the disc. The disc loads up and plays the episodes as normal, however no audio (or subtitles) is present and even changing the audio track doesn’t create any results. We can confirm that the Disc does work fine with other Blu-ray players, such as Samsung and LG players.

To those who are affected by the incompatible disc, KAZE UK are offering to replace the Blu-ray disc with another anime title from their catalogue. In order to do so you must contact Manga UK via Twitter or Facebook.

Here is the statement in full:

Hello everyone.

We wanted to inform you of a technical issue in relation to the playback of the Blu-ray disc included in the upcoming release of Un-Go Complete Box Set, that Manga Entertainment are distributing in the UK for KAZE.

“There has been a QC (Quality Control) error. We have tested the Blu-ray disc again, to find that it is not compatible with Panasonic devices. We are investigating the reasons for this to the fullest extent.

KAZE apologise for any problems this has caused and will offer a replacement product from the KAZE range to those effected”.

We are unable to comment any further at this time, as soon as there is more information we will be sure to make it known.

Please get in touch with us using Direct Message via @MangaUK on Twitter or Facebook if you have any questions. ^JG
